Went to collapse the legs on my Algonquin tripod and one is jammed solid. Slid out just fine on setup but now won't budge in or out. Do you have a troubleshooting routine for this issue?
Usually if this happens it is because the white teflon slider has cracked on the inside (it is the white spacer that runs between the tubes). To get it functional, loosen the leg lock 100% until it is completely loose and then twist the stuck leg back and forth while pulling. This usually pops it back into place. If it won't move still, then you need to just use brute force to pull it straight out (get help from a friend). Even if it gets stuck, it shouldn't be impossible to remove, just will take a few hard pulls. Once you get it out, if the spacer isn't on the end of the tube, then check if it is stuck inside the larger leg (it may need to be fished out). You should be able to re-use the slider until you get replacement parts, it will just be more likely to jam in the future until it is swapped out. There are 2 'button's on the slider, they can crack from torque. Look for our tripod maintenance kit on our website for the items. Should be good as new with new sliders.
